The Coastal GasLink project faced high levels of public scrutiny regarding the environmental impacts of the construction and use of the pipeline, necessitating the implementation of uncompromising safety and hazard control measures.

Solution
OVERPIPE® was selected to protect the pipe against 3rd party damage without adding risks, costs, or delays to the construction of the line. OV4 plates were connected to provide 2.2 m of coverage width for a 1.1 km section of the pipeline.
OVERPIPE® plates offered a resilient and easy-to-install system for protecting the pipeline, local communities, and the pristine Rocky Mountain environment.
